How we handle your information

Vora Wellness is a small private studio in Walthamstow, London. This page explains exactly what this website collects when you book a visit, who else handles that information on our behalf, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It describes what the site genuinely does — nothing more.

Who is responsible for your information

The data controller is the practice trading as Vora Wellness, operating from Walthamstow, London. The registered trading name and address of the controller are [to be confirmed before launch], and our Information Commissioner’s Office registration number is [to be confirmed before launch].

You can reach us at any time about your information by email at vorawellness@gmail.com or by telephone on +44 7830 704502.

What we collect when you book

When you complete a booking we collect your name, your email address and your UK mobile number, together with the services you have chosen, the date and time of your appointment, the deposit and total amounts, your booking reference and whether payment has been received.

Because the services you choose can reveal something about your health, we treat your booking record as special category data under UK GDPR and handle it with the same care as clinical information.

We deliberately do not collect free-text medical notes through this website, and no test results or health records are stored here. Results are handled separately by the clinic, outside this site.

Payments

Deposits are taken through Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s own secure payment page; they are never seen, handled or stored by Vora Wellness or by this website. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with a payment reference so we can match it to your booking.

Why we are allowed to use it

We rely on three lawful bases. Managing your appointment — holding the slot, confirming it and preparing for your visit — is necessary to perform our contract with you. Keeping records of payments is a legal obligation under financial record-keeping rules. Where information relates to your health, we rely on your explicit consent, given when you confirm your booking.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of carefully chosen providers. They act on our instructions and may only use your information to deliver their service to us.

Supabase

Hosts the database that holds your booking record.

Stripe

Processes the deposit payment and handles all card details.

Resend

Delivers your booking confirmation email.

Twilio

Delivers your booking confirmation text message.

Lovable and Cloudflare

Host and serve this website.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing by anyone else.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and carries no third-party tracking. It uses your browser’s local storage for one purpose only: to remember the services you have selected and how far you have progressed through booking, so that your choices survive a refresh. That information stays on your own device and is cleared once your booking is confirmed. You can clear it yourself at any time through your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records only for as long as we need them to manage your appointment and to meet our financial record-keeping obligations. After that they are deleted. Pending bookings that are never paid for expire and are removed automatically.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the following rights over the information we hold about you. To exercise any of them, simply write to us and we will respond within one month.

Access

Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.

Rectification

Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.

Erasure

Ask us to delete your information where we no longer need it.

Restriction

Ask us to pause how we use your information.

Objection

Object to a particular use of your information.

Portability

Ask for your information in a portable format.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would always welcome the chance to put things right first.
