IPL Skin Rejuvenation — Face
Intense pulsed light is delivered in short flashes across the face, with cooling gel and protective eyewear throughout. Each flash feels like a brief warm tap. A patch test is required before a first session, and we ask that the skin is kept out of direct sun either side of the appointment.

What this involves
IPL is intense pulsed light: short flashes of filtered light absorbed by pigment and redness in the skin. It feels like a warm elastic band flicked against the surface, and protective eyewear is worn throughout. Usually a course, with changes appearing over several weeks.
How to prepare
Patch test required
A patch test is required at least 24 hours before your first treatment — this is not optional, and we will arrange it when you book. Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds and fake tan for four weeks before and after. Stop retinoids and acids for a week beforehand. Not suitable on recently tanned skin, over tattoos, during pregnancy, or while taking light-sensitising medication — please tell us what you take.
If anything here is unclear, or you are unsure whether it applies to you, call +44 7830 704502 before your appointment and we will talk it through.
