Controlled surface exfoliation followed by soothing and hydrating steps. A short course is often preferred to a single session.
What this involves
A handheld device passes over the skin with fine abrasion and suction, lifting away the surface layer of dead cells. It feels like a rough cat's tongue and is not painful. Skin may look slightly pink for an hour or two and feels notably smoother.
How to prepare
Stop retinoids, exfoliating acids and any prescription skin treatment for five days beforehand. Avoid sun exposure and sunbeds for a week before and after, and wear daily sun protection following the treatment. Not suitable over active breakouts, cold sores or broken skin.
